About Us
Grasmere is a popular and large Resourced Maintained Nursery School in the North of Luton. We have over 50 years history providing early education, care and support to children and their families. We have five classes in total, serving children from 3 months to 5 years. As a resourced Nursery School, we have an additional Rainbow provision for up to 20 children with complex needs who are supported with interventions and individualised plans, as well as receiving support from outside agencies.
As a Maintained Nursery School, with wraparound and 0-3s provision, we are usually a child’s first experience of Early Education. We serve a broad and diverse community in the north of Luton, and our children, families and staff team reflect this rich diversity.
We are involved with both Local and National initiatives to improve education and outcomes, most particularly for those who are most vulnerable, disadvantaged, having Mental Health needs, or who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). At Grasmere Nursery School we believe early intervention is absolutely key, and we understand the importance of involving and working with all stakeholders and professional agencies. We have started working collaboratively with the community volunteers to build a whole community approach to our provision to ensure that relevant services are provided in a cohesive manner which brings benefits to our children and families and local area.
